Sinead Kennedy never fails to brighten up our days with her fab outfits on the Today Show which she's now back presenting after welcoming her second child. The presenter took full advantage of her maternity leave, flying overseas to be with her husband Conor Kirwan, who is a naval officer in Belgium. The pair are living proof that love knows no boundaries, as they make long-distance work as they raise their children, Indie and Theo, despite living in different countries. Today's top videos But how did their love story start? Here's everything you need to know about their romance... The couple first met in 2005. Sinead was presenting a live link from the European Capital of Culture and Conor was a naval officer on the LE Emer in Cork. She reflected on the first time she met him in an interview with The Herald. 'I was doing some links on the river,' she told the publication. 'He was assigned to look after me and I was like, "Your man is unreal". The uniform did it and the eyes.' After eight years together, the couple was ready to walk down the aisle, Sinead broke from tradition when it came to her engagement ring as she opted for a blue gemstone instead of a diamond ring. They planned the entire wedding around the availability of their wedding band! Opening up about her bridal style ahead of the big day, she said: 'I don't know if I'm a traditional bride, I'm probably somewhere in the middle. I like to think I'm quite rock-chic in style, but my fiancé told me that if I wore black he'd turn up and walk the other way,' she joked. View this post on Instagram Sinead and Conor tied the knot in 2014 surrounded by their family and friends in Co Kerry. They said I Do at St Michael’s Church in Sneem before celebrating at their reception in Dromquinna Manor in Kenmare. The bride looked lovely on her big day in a vintage-inspired beaded dress and pair of Louboutins while Conor looked very dapper in his uniform. Sinead announced she was expecting her first child in a very glamorous way - by gracing the cover of a magazine. The couple became parents for the first time in March 2021 as they welcomed their daughter Indie into the world. Sinead announced she was expecting again in August 2023. 'This was such a longed-for second baby. I had two miscarriages before I was successfully pregnant,' she told Irish Country Magazine. She told how the last time she miscarried was when she was working on RTÉ's Today and that when she rang her husband, he jetted back from Brussels to be with her. In September, Sinead revealed she and Conor had a name picked out for a boy but were unsure about a name for a girl. The couple opted not to find out the sex of baby number two so it was a big surprise. The couple welcomed a baby boy named Theo on November 26, 2023. Sharing a picture of their newborn baby boy, Sinead wrote: 'We’ve been in a love bubble for the last while. Our little baba has arrived safe and sound. 'Theo Will Kirwan has made our family complete. We’re all in love with the new man in our lives - Indie especially is chuffed with her little brother. She added how they couldn't be 'more proud, grateful and happy' before she thanked the staff at Cork University Maternity Hospital for ensuring his safe arrival into the world. 'Back to the newborn snuggles I go x,' she concluded. Spending time together as a family of four is made difficult as Conor is stationed in Belgium, while Sinead has to stay in Ireland for her role as presenter on the Today Show. However, the mum-of-two took full advantage of her maternity leave, spending most of it in Belgium with her husband. 'It means that Conor is not flying over and back, we're not exhausted, and we can have proper family quality time together', she explained to RSVP. Speaking to EVOKE, Sinead said: 'I did all of my maternity leave with Indie over there and just had the most wonderful time. It's so chilled. The people are lovely. 'It's just such a great mix of backgrounds and languages and there's always a nice buzz around the city. It feels really safe. It's a lovely place for families.'How they met
